Salad Base

Creamy Garlic Herb Dressing

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash all vegetables thoroughly under cold running water. Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Cut the Tomatoes

Halve the cherry tomatoes and add them to the bowl with the lettuce.

  3. 3

    Slice the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber if desired and slice it into thin rounds. Add to the bowl.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Bell Pepper

Remove the seeds and core from the red bell pepper, then chop it into small pieces. Add to the salad bowl.

  5. 5

    Slice the Radishes

Trim the ends of the radishes and slice them thinly. Add to the bowl and toss all the vegetables gently.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Dressing

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream. Mix until smooth.

  2. 7

    Add Garlic and Herbs

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. Then, chop the fresh parsley and chives, adding them to the mixture.

  3. 8

    Season the Dressing

Stir in the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

  4. 9

    Chill the Dressing

Cover the dressing with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembly

  1. 10

    Combine Salad and Dressing

Once the dressing has chilled, pour it over the prepared salad base and toss gently to coat all the vegetables evenly.

  2. 11

    Serve

Divide the salad into serving bowls and enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator for later. It can be served chilled.
