Method

Preparing the Wings

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

  2. 2

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 4

Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Old Bay Seasoning Option

  1. 5

In a large bowl, combine melted butter and Old Bay seasoning.

  2. 6

Toss the baked wings in the Old Bay butter mixture until evenly coated. Serve immediately.

Buffalo Sauce Option

  1. 7

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in Frank's RedHot sauce and garlic powder. Mix until combined and warm.

  2. 8

Toss the baked wings in the buffalo sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately.

Serving

  1. 9

Serve wings hot with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side.
