Build the Cocktail

Prepare glass
Fill a copper mule mug or highball glass with ice.

Mix ingredients
In a shaker, combine Ilegal Mezcal, ginger liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Shake well with ice for about 10 seconds.

Assemble the drink
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Top with ginger beer.

Garnish with a lime wheel and a piece of candied ginger. Serve immediately.
