Pasta

Method

Cook the Pasta

  1. 1

Bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add elbow macaroni and cook until al dente according to package instructions, about 7–8 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce

  1. 2

In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.

  2. 3

Slowly whisk in the milk and cream, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

  3. 4

Reduce heat to low and stir in cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.

  4. 5

Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Lobster

  1. 6

In a small skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 7

Add chopped lobster meat and lemon juice, cooking for 1–2 minutes until just warmed through. Remove from heat.

Combine and Assemble

  1. 8

    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 9

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, cheese sauce, and lobster mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 10

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Add Topping and Bake

  1. 11

In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and grated Parmesan.

  2. 12

Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture evenly over the mac and cheese.

  3. 13

Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.

  4. 14

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving (optional).
