Method

Prepare and Fry Wings

  1. 1

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a bowl.

  2. 2

Season the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. 3

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

Fry the wings in batches for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make Hennessy Sauce

  1. 5

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute.

  2. 6

Add Hennessy, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, and hot sauce to the pan. Stir to combine.

  3. 7

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for 5–7 minutes to reduce slightly.

  4. 8

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Add it to the sauce and stir until thickened, about 1–2 minutes.

  5. 9

Remove sauce from heat once thickened and set aside.

Toss and Serve

  1. 10

Place the fried wings in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 11

Pour the Hennessy sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.

  3. 12

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
