Fish Patties

Method

Prepare Fish Patties

  1. 1

Chop the white fish fillets into small pieces or pulse in a food processor until finely minced.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, combine minced fish, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, lemon zest, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

  3. 3

Form the mixture into 8 small patties, about the size of your slider buns.

  4. 4

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.

Make Tartar Sauce

  1. 5

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, capers (if using), Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Assemble Sliders

  1. 6

Slice and lightly toast the slider buns if desired.

  2. 7

Spread tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

  3. 8

Place a lettuce leaf, cooked fish patty, a tomato slice, and a few red onion slices on each bun.

  4. 9

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
