Crab Cakes

Method

Make the Crab Cakes

  1. 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

Gently fold in the lump crab meat and panko breadcrumbs until just combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  3. 3

Form the mixture into 8 small patties, about the size of slider buns.

  4. 4

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Prepare the Slider Buns

  1. 5

Melt butter in a pan or on a griddle. Toast the slider buns cut-side down until golden brown. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Sliders

  1. 6

Spread tartar sauce or remoulade on the bottom half of each bun.

  2. 7

Place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a crab cake on each bun.

  3. 8

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
