Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Discard any clams with cracked shells or that do not close when tapped.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the cleaned clams and pour in the white wine. Cover the pot with a lid.

Cook for 5–7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally, until the clams have opened. Discard any clams that did not open.
