Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the mixture all over the ribeye steaks and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the French Fries

  1. 3

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to create fries.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 5

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice, and mix well.
