Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Cleaning the Shrimp

Rinse the shrimp under cold running water to remove any debris. Use a knife to carefully devein the shrimp by making a shallow cut along the back and removing the dark vein.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Shrimp

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cleaned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Mixing the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Adjust the hot sauce to taste if you prefer a spicier sauce.

Serving

  1. 4

    Plating the Dish

Arrange the cooked shrimp on a serving platter. Serve with a small bowl of cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
