Cheese Blend

House-Made Chips

Method

Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and cream cheese. Add garlic powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Spread the cheese mixture evenly in a baking dish. Ensure an even layer for consistent melting.

Baking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Bake the Cheese

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Chip Preparation

  1. 5

    Cut the Tortillas

Cut each tortilla into quarters to create chip shapes.

  2. 6

    Fry the Chips

In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the tortilla quarters in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.

  3. 7

    Drain and Season

Remove the chips from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with salt to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Warm

Once the queso fundido is ready, remove it from the oven and serve hot with the house-made chips alongside.
