Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and a generous amount of black pepper. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Combine Everything

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the bacon and toss to combine. Quickly pour the egg mixture over the spaghetti while tossing continuously to create a creamy sauce. If necessary, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Add butter and olive oil to the spaghetti, and toss until melted and well combined. Season with additional salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
