Simple Syrup Preparation

1

Make Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Once dissolved, bring the mixture to a gentle boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool before using.

Drink Preparation

2

Muddle Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh strawberries and mint leaves. Use a muddler to gently crush the strawberries and mint together to release their flavors.

3

Add Bourbon and Syrup

Pour in 2 oz of Mitcher's Bourbon and 1 oz of the prepared simple syrup into the cocktail shaker with the muddled strawberries and mint. Fill the shaker with ice.

4

Shake the Mixture

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

5

Strain into Glass

Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice, using a fine mesh strainer to catch any solids.

6

Top with Ginger Ale

Top the drink with 4 oz of Ginger Ale. Gently stir to mix the ingredients.

7

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few slices of strawberry on top. Serve immediately.
