Giardiniera Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Giardiniera
In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers, and celery. In a separate bowl, mix together the white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, and red pepper flakes. Pour the vinegar mixture over the vegetables and let them marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Mostarda Preparation

Make the Mostarda
In a small saucepan, combine the candied fruit, mustard seeds, white wine, and sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.
Crostini Preparation

Prepare the Crostini
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Slice the baguette into 1 cm thick slices and place them on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Once toasted, rub each slice with the halved garlic clove.
Serving
- 4
Assemble and Serve
On a large serving board, arrange the cheeses, giardiniera, and mostarda. Serve with the toasted crostini on the side. Enjoy your Italian cheese platter!
