Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Prepare the Pancetta
While the pasta is cooking, chop the pancetta into small pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the pancetta and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Whisk Eggs and Cheese
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and a generous amount of black pepper until well combined. Set aside.
Combining Ingredients

Combine Pasta and Pancetta
Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. Immediately add the hot spaghetti to the skillet with the pancetta and toss to combine.

Serve the pasta carbonara immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley and additional cracked black pepper if desired.
