Prepare the Seafood

Rinse the mussels and clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.
Make the Garlic Crostini

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Bake the Crostini
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Mussels and Clams

Add Liquids
Pour in the white wine (or marinara sauce if preferred) and bring it to a simmer.

Add Seafood
Add the mussels and clams to the pot, cover, and let them steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the shells open.
