Panna Cotta Base

Method

Panna Cotta Base

  1. 1

    Prepare Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

  2. 2

    Heat Cream and Milk

In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Combine Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat. Once the gelatin has bloomed, stir it into the warm cream mixture until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Berry Sauce

  1. 5

    Cook Berries

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the berries break down and the mixture thickens slightly.

  2. 6

    Cool Sauce

Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool to room temperature. You can blend it for a smoother consistency if desired.

  3. 7

    Serve

Once the panna cotta is set, spoon the berry sauce over the top of each panna cotta before serving.
