Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Muddle Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils and flavor. Do this for about 10-15 seconds.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. If preferred, you can also cut the lime into wedges and muddle them with the mint and sugar for a more intense flavor.

  3. 3

    Pour in the Rum

Add the white rum to the glass with the muddled mint, sugar, and lime juice. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top for the club soda.

  5. 5

    Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is nearly full. Stir gently to combine all the flavors.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw.
