Gather Your Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients: bourbon, sweet vermouth, orange liqueur, bitters, orange zest, and a maraschino cherry.

Chill the Glass

Fill a cocktail glass with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.

Mixing the Drink

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of bourbon, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 0.5 oz of orange liqueur.

Add Bitters

Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to the mixing glass.

Stir the Mixture

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture well for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

Prepare the Glass

Empty the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass.

Strain the Mixture

Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the chilled cocktail glass.
