Shrimp Preparation

Prepare Coating Stations
In a shallow bowl, season the flour with salt and black pepper. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

Coat the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first into the flour, shaking off the excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking Shrimp

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Cook Shrimp
Add the breaded shrimp in batches and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Add Seasonings
Add the red chili flakes and chopped basil, and stir for another minute. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Pasta Cooking

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of salt.

Cook Pasta
Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to combine.
Serving

Plate the Dish
Serve the linguine topped with the crispy shrimp and additional fresh basil if desired.
