Prepare the Ingredients
Chop the bacon into small pieces. Mince the garlic cloves and finely chop the onion. Dice the fresh tomatoes and roughly chop the fresh basil.

Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in the diced fresh tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing them to soften. Pour in the white wine, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Add salt and black pepper.

Combine Ingredients
Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish with Basil
Just before serving, stir in the chopped fresh basil. Cook for another 2 minutes until the basil is wilted and fragrant.
