Prepare Meat Sauce

Cook the Meat
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine with Tomatoes
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Prepare Ricotta Filling

Mix the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Assemble Lasagna

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Layer the Ingredients
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread 1 cup of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and then another cup of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top.

Bake the Lasagna
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Allow the lasagna to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
