Prepare the Ingredients
Chop the onion, fresh tomatoes, and basil. Set aside.

Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and let it drain on paper towels. Leave the bacon fat in the skillet.

Sear the Chicken
Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper. In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the chicken thighs and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Add the chopped tomatoes and white wine to the skillet, stirring well to combine. Cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes start to break down.

Combine Ingredients
Return the seared chicken thighs to the skillet, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes on low heat.

Finish with Basil
Once the chicken is cooked through, stir in the fresh basil leaves and chopped bacon. Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
