Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Roux

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, whisk in the all-purpose flour to form a roux. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens and is smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Cheeses

Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, Gruyère cheese, and cream cheese until fully melted and combined.

  4. 5

    Season the Sauce

Add truffle oil, black pepper, and nutmeg to the cheese sauce, mixing well.

Combine and Bake

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Lobster

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce. Fold in the chopped lobster meat until well distributed.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter.

  3. 8

    Assemble the Dish

Transfer the lobster mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture on top.

  4. 9

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
