Preparation of Tuna

Season the Tuna
In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the tuna steaks.

Sear the Tuna
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned tuna steaks to the skillet. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the outside is blackened and the inside is slightly pink. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Salad Base
In a large salad bowl, combine mixed greens, drained mandarin oranges, and chopped pistachios. Toss gently to combine.

Slice the Tuna
After the tuna has rested, slice it into thin strips. Arrange the sliced tuna on top of the salad.
Dressing Preparation

Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, 1 teaspoon of honey, and salt and pepper to taste until well combined.

Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving and toss gently to coat the ingredients evenly.
