Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, mix together apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Place the pork shoulder in a large zip-top bag or container, pour the marinade over it, and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork

Preheat the oven to 225°F (107°C). Place the marinated pork shoulder in a roasting pan, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 12 hours until tender.

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Remove the pork from the oven and allow it to rest for 30 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks and mix it with the drippings in the pan.

  5. 5

    Add BBQ Sauce

Combine the shredded pork with BBQ sauce in a large bowl, adjusting the amount to your taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the pulled pork topped with sliced banana peppers and alongside collard greens.
