Wash the Broccoli
Rinse the broccoli florets under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.
- 2
Cut the Broccoli
With a sharp knife, cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, ensuring they are of even size for uniform cooking.

Prepare the Steamer
Fill a pot with about 1-2 inches of water and place a steamer basket inside. Make sure the water does not touch the bottom of the basket.
- 4
Boil the Water
Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Once the water is boiling, carefully place the broccoli florets into the steamer basket. Cover the pot with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
