Method

Preparation of Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Rub

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Glaze

While the ribs are baking, prepare the glaze by combining barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and hot sauce in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

  3. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush a generous amount of the glaze over the ribs.

  4. 7

    Broil the Ribs

Set your oven to broil. Place the ribs back in the oven (uncovered) and broil for 5-7 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra glaze on the side.
