Brownie Batter
Method
Preparing the Brownie Batter
- 1
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat once melted and let cool slightly.
- 2
Mix Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. Pour the melted butter over the sugars and mix until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add 4 large eggs and 2 tsp of vanilla extract to the sugar mixture. Beat until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 5
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips (if using) for added texture and flavor.
Baking the Brownie Bites
- 7
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a mini muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with mini cupcake liners.
- 8
Fill the Muffin Tin
Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the brownie batter.
- 9
Bake
Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 10
Cool
Remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the brownie bites cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
