Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Bake the Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the baking potatoes and poke a few holes in them with a fork. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

While the potatoes are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cheese Sauce

In a small saucepan, heat the cheese sauce over medium heat until warm, stirring occasionally. If you prefer, you can make your own cheese sauce.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Loaded Potatoes

Once the potatoes are done baking, carefully cut them open lengthwise. Fluff the insides with a fork and add butter, cheese sauce, chopped bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Finish with a sprinkle of chopped chives on top. Serve immediately and enjoy your loaded baked potatoes!
