Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Caramelized Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized (about 15-20 minutes). Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Smashburgers

Divide the wagyu beef into two equal portions. Form loosely into balls. Heat a skillet or griddle over high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Place the beef balls on the hot surface and smash down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the brioche buns in the remaining butter until golden. Start with the bottom bun, add lettuce, followed by a patty with melted cheese, a generous portion of caramelized onions, pickles, and 2 tablespoons of Apostle sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the double stack smashburger with fries on the side. Enjoy!
