Ribeye Steak

Method

Grilling Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help it cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Seasoning

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the steak. Season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grilling

Preheat your charcoal grill to high heat. Once the grill is hot, place the ribeye steak on the grill grates. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.

  4. 4

    Flipping

Flip the steak over and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Basting

During the last minute of grilling, add the butter to the grill and use a spoon to baste the melted butter over the steak for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Resting

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serving

Slice against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly grilled ribeye!
