Biscuit Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Make the Biscuits

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually stir in the milk until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out to 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chicken

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and let them rest.

  3. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and crack the eggs into the pan. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, approximately 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Make the Gravy

In another skillet, cook the country sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Stir in the heavy cream and black pepper, cooking until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Split the baked biscuits in half. Place a chicken tender on the bottom half, add the fried egg on top, and generously pour the sausage gravy over the egg. Top with the other half of the biscuit.
