Pasta Shells

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheese Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Marinara Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, then remove from heat.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Stuff the Shells

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take each cooked pasta shell and fill it generously with the cheese filling using a spoon or piping bag. Place the stuffed shells seam side up in a baking dish.

  2. 5

    Add Sauce

Pour the prepared marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered.

  3. 6

    Bake the Dish

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
