Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well using your hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burgers

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato (sliced), and a few pickles.

  3. 8

    Add Condiments

Drizzle ketchup and mustard on the top half of the buns to taste, then place the top half of the bun on each assembled burger.
