Method

Haddock Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a mixture of cornmeal, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Haddock

Dip each haddock fillet first in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.

  3. 3

    Fry the Haddock

Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry the haddock fillets for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat cooking oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.

Cole Slaw Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and carrots using a grater or food processor.

  2. 7

    Make the Dressing

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. 8

    Combine and Chill

Add the shredded cabbage and carrots to the dressing. Toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Tartar Sauce Preparation

  1. 9

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, finely chopped dill pickles, lemon juice, capers, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
