Method
Pasta
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken
- 2
Prepare the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Grill the Chicken
Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce
- 4
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- 5
Add Cheese and Seasoning
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
Combine and Serve
- 6
Combine the Ingredients
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Add the sliced grilled chicken on top and gently mix to combine.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Serve the fettuccine alfredo on plates, garnishing with chopped parsley and an additional sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
