Chicken Cutlet Ingredients
Method
Preparation of Chicken Cutlets
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by placing the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound the chicken to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
- 2
Season the Chicken
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts. Allow them to marinate for about 15 minutes for better flavor.
- 3
Set Up Breading Station
Prepare three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs until well mixed. In the third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's fully coated. Finally, coat the chicken with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 5
Cook the Cutlets
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken cutlets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
