Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix until the dough comes together, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 7

    Add BBQ Sauce

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the BBQ sauce evenly over the base.

  4. 8

    Add Chicken and Onion

Top the BBQ sauce with shredded chicken and sliced red onion.

  5. 9

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the pizza.

  6. 10

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  7. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
