Flatbread Margherita Ingredients
Method
Flatbread Margherita Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). This will ensure that your flatbreads cook evenly and get a nice crisp texture.
- 2
Prepare the Flatbread
Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each flatbread lightly with olive oil to enhance flavor and prevent sticking.
- 3
Spread Mascarpone Cheese
Using a spatula, spread approximately ¼ cup of mascarpone cheese over each flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 4
Add Mozzarella Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese evenly over the mascarpone layer on each flatbread.
- 5
Slice Tomatoes
Thinly slice the vine-ripened tomatoes and arrange them evenly over the cheese layer on each flatbread.
- 6
Season the Flatbreads
Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the toppings on each flatbread to enhance the flavors.
- 7
Bake the Flatbreads
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
- 8
Add Parsley Pesto
Once the flatbreads are out of the oven, drizzle parsley pesto over the top of each flatbread, or serve it on the side for dipping.
- 9
Garnish and Serve
Top each flatbread with fresh basil leaves for a burst of freshness. Cut into slices and serve warm.
