Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by gathering all the ingredients. If you don't have roasted red peppers, you can roast them yourself by charring fresh red peppers in the oven or over an open flame until the skin is blistered, then peel and deseed.
- 2
Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the roasted red peppers, red chili paste, walnuts, pomegranate molasses, tahini, garlic cloves, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Process Until Smooth
Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little water or more olive oil to achieve your desired consistency.
- 4
Taste and Adjust
Taste the muhammara and adjust seasoning as needed. You can add more salt, pepper, or pomegranate molasses according to your preference.
- 5
Serve
Transfer the muhammara to a serving bowl, drizzle with a little extra olive oil, and serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
