Tuna Tartare

Method

Preparation of Tuna Tartare

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by finely dicing the fresh tuna into small cubes and place it in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mash the Avocado

Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a separate bowl. Mash it lightly with a fork until creamy but still chunky.

  3. 3

    Mix Tuna with Seasonings

To the bowl with diced tuna, add sesame oil and ponzu sauce. Gently mix until the tuna is well coated.

  4. 4

    Combine with Pickled Onion

Add the pickled red onion to the tuna mixture and gently fold it in to combine.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Serving Plate

On a serving plate, spread a layer of mashed avocado as a base.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Tartare

Spoon the tuna tartare mixture over the avocado layer, spreading it evenly.

  7. 7

    Add Seaweed Salad

Place a generous portion of seaweed salad on the side of the tartare.

  8. 8

    Garnish with Furikake

Sprinkle furikake seasoning over the top of the tuna tartare for added flavor and presentation.
