Method

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  3. 3

    Season the Sauce

Taste the sauce and add salt to your preference.

  4. 4

    Chill the Sauce

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the cocktail sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 5

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 6

    Flavor the Water

Add the juice of 1 lemon and 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

  3. 7

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

  4. 8

    Cool the Shrimp

Once cooked, immediately remove the shrimp and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

  5. 9

    Dry the Shrimp

Let the shrimp cool for about 5 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
