Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Alfredo Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Add salt, black pepper, and nutmeg, stirring to combine.

Combine Ingredients

  1. 4

    Combine Pasta, Shrimp, and Sauce

Add the drained fettuccine and cooked shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are well coated with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Garnish and Serve

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
