Method

Hot Dogs

  1. 1

    Prepare the hot dogs

In a pot of boiling water, cook the hot dog sausages for about 5-7 minutes until heated through. Alternatively, you can grill or pan-fry them for added flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the buns

While the sausages are cooking, slice the hot dog buns open lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. You can toast them lightly on a grill or in the oven if desired.

  3. 3

    Assemble the hot dogs

Place each cooked hot dog sausage into a bun. Top with diced onions, mustard, and ketchup as desired.

Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch, and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 5

    Fry the potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches, frying them until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  3. 6

    Drain and season

Once fried, remove the fries with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt to taste while they are still hot.
