Clean the Seafood
Rinse the blue crabs, shrimp, clams, and oysters under cold water to remove any sand or debris.

Prepare the Vegetables
Shuck the corn and cut it into halves or thirds. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into quarters. Peel and crush the garlic cloves.
Cooking

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil over high heat. If using, add 1 cup of beer for extra flavor.

Add Seasoning
Once the water is boiling, add 3 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the pot.

Add Seafood
Add the blue crabs, shrimp, clams, and oysters to the pot. Cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the seafood is fully cooked and the shells have opened.

Add Garlic and Lemon
In the last minute of cooking, add the crushed garlic cloves and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into the pot.
Serving

Drain and Serve
Carefully drain the pot and transfer the seafood and vegetables to a large serving platter. Serve immediately with additional lemon wedges and Old Bay seasoning on the side.
