Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Haddock

Rinse the haddock fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Rub the Cajun seasoning evenly over both sides of the haddock fillets.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook the Haddock

Add the seasoned haddock fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is blackened and cooked through.

Tartar Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Tartar Sauce

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Plating

  1. 6

    Assemble the Dish

On each plate, place a few leaves of bibb lettuce, top with a blackened haddock fillet, and serve with a generous dollop of tartar sauce on the side.
