Buffalo Wings
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 4
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the hot sauce and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat.
- 5
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken wings with the buffalo sauce until well coated.
- 6
Serve
Serve the buffalo wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
