Main Components

Method

Prepare Goat's Milk Base

  1. 1

    Combine ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine goat's milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Chill the base

Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool. Transfer to a container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully chilled.

  3. 3

    Churn the ice cream

Pour the chilled goat's milk base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically 20–25 minutes.

  4. 4

    Freeze until firm

Transfer churned ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for 2–4 hours, or until firm.

Make Balsamic Strawberries

  1. 5

    Marinate strawberries

Place quartered strawberries in a bowl. Add balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and a pinch of black pepper if using. Toss well to combine.

  2. 6

    Let sit

Allow the strawberries to marinate at room temperature for 15–20 minutes until they become juicy and glossy.

Assemble and Serve

  1. 7

Scoop goat’s milk ice cream into bowls or glasses and top generously with the balsamic strawberries. Serve immediately.
