Sandwich Assembly

Method

Prepare the Fish

  1. 1

    Season the Fish

Pat the white fish fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fish

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the fish fillets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden brown. Squeeze lemon juice over the fish while cooking. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make the Tartar Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns lightly in the same skillet until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Build the Sandwich

Spread a generous amount of tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cooked fish fillet. Add a slice of tomato and another lettuce leaf. Top with the other half of the bun.
